Doors Open California

"Doors Open California" is an annual statewide event sponsored by the California Preservation Foundation! Historic sites and out-of-the-way places open their doors to the public and offer special programs. The Treasure Island Museum's programs will celebrate the past, present and future of our amazing site.
To read about all events and to register, please visit https://californiapreservation.org/doca/. There is a fee to register for all events, but there is no fee to visit the Treasure Island Museum!
10:30: "Welcome to Building One" - historian Anne Schnoebelen will answer questions about the iconic building, the mural in its lobby, and how it earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
11:30: "Walk Back into the Glam"--illustrated walking tour of Treasure Island, visiting former exposition sites--"The Court of Pacifica" and more.
2:00 "We Were There"--a conversation about the Golden Gate International Exposition with two who were there as children.
All day, enjoy our award-winning Art Moderne building, our exhibits, and original works of art from the 1939-1940 exposition. And you can also enjoy Woodsfest, a separate ticketed event, in an adjoining space! https://rb.gy/om6xq
