Job Description
This is a rare opportunity for an organized, motivated and energetic individual to develop and expand their skills in all aspects of operating and planning the small but growing Treasure Island Museum.
An ideal candidate will have a strong interest in history and consider themselves creative, while unafraid of some data entry. The position will require you to be multidimensional and multitasking, and will give you the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the Museum, from website to direct mail campaigns to programming and exhibits, with visibility to planning and governance. An ideal candidate will feel comfortable working alone and with others, and have excellent communication and time management skills.
The candidate will be working closely alongside our Collections Manager and with a hands-on board of directors. This is a great opportunity to use your organizing skills to become involved with museums and public history, and become part of an exciting San Francisco community with a rich history in the process of completely redeveloping and reinventing itself.

This is a full-time position, with a work location on Treasure Island, San Francisco.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising & Donations
Coordinate fundraising drives, including email campaigns and and direct mailings to Museum supporters
Process and track all donations and grants, and send acknowledgment letters to donors
Manage and maintain Salesforce Database with contacts and donations
Produce monthly reports on donations, sales, and petty cash for board meetings
Manage Museum store sales and inventory through Square; assist with planning and ordering TIM merchandise
Assist with grant-writing and grant applications, and other fundraising opportunities
Programs & Exhibits
Manage and coordinate Museum events and partner-led events, including monthly programs/lecture series
Coordinate execution of grant projects, including Rising Tides Project (curriculum about Sea Level Rise including Youth Workshops)
Plan and assist with curation and installation of new exhibits and displays
Communications & Outreach
Update, maintain, and edit website content and design via Wix
Design and write copy for emails to Museum contact list via Mailchimp; manage and update email contact list
Manage social media, and create promotional images for Museum exhibits and upcoming events/lectures
Design and produce/order marketing materials for Museum and events
Office Administration & Facilities
Manage meetings with visitors, collaborators, partners, donors etc.
Monitor and respond to TIM phone calls and email requests in an appropriate and timely manner
Coordinate interns and volunteers
Participate in monthly Saturday board meetings and organize occasional committee meetings including board members
Maintain office and exhibition space, including office supplies and equipment
Assist with special Board requests and projects as needed

Requirements
B. A. degree; Two years experience working in a small museum or other nonprofit, or equivalent environment.
