Treasure Island Swings Again

Dancing in the lobby of historic Treasure Island Building One is nothing new. This charming photograph from our collection (photographer and date unknown) shows a well-attended dance when the building served as headquarters for the 12th Naval District; it recalls a bygone era when they where held here regularly.

Join us on Saturday, September 26 for our annual benefit Swing Dance in historic Treasure Island Building One, featuring music by the Nick Rossi Swing Six and a performance by The Decobelles.

The evening begins with swing dance lessons taught by Nathan Dias and Alex Phelps, sponsored by Cat's Corner San Francisco and The Breakaway, the host of swing dance parties and weekly lessons in Oakland.
